Mrs. Mallari
Interventionist

Mrs. Mallari

After working in River Trails District 26 for 16 years, I can truly say this is a community focused on bringing out the best in each child.

As a graduate from Northeastern Illinois University with a B.A. in Elementary Education with Middle School Endorsements in Social Studies and English/Language Arts, I started my career at Indian Grove as a fourth and fifth grade teacher. After earning my Master's degree in Reading and becoming a certified Reading Specialist K-12 through the State of Illinois from Concordia University, I spent several years working at both Indian Grove and Euclid Elementary School as a Reading Specialist. Currently, I work at Indian Grove as an Interventionist providing reading and math interventions for kindergarten through fifth grade students.

Because teaching does not end at the doors of our classrooms, I also serve on the IG Building RtI Team, Building Problem Solving Team, Teacher Learning Council, and the GFOA on Math Achievement Committee and run the Virtual Summer School Lexia Program when school is out of session. In addition, I am working towards earning a Master's degree in Educational Administration and Leadership through the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

My time away from Indian Grove is spent outdoors with my three children, experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, and trying to keep up with countless loads of laundry!

I look forward to working with you and your child this year. Please contact me with any questions or concerns.
