Hello My N
ame Is...

Mrs. Levy MSW, LCSW
School Social Worker

This begins my 31st year in District 26 as a School Social Worker.  I received my Master's of Social Work from Jane Addams College of Social Work at The University of Illinois Chicago campus.  I also hold a Licensed Clinical Social Work (LCSW) certificate.  Indian Grove is a great place to learn and work!

School social work services may be provided to students when social, emotional, behavioral or academic difficulties interfere with daily school functioning. They will now be referred to as Social Emotional Learning Support (SEL) and may be provided by the School Social Worker or School Psychologist.  Our team is also available for parents to consult and be a resource for various topics including normal development, behavioral difficulties, peer issues, school adjustment anxiety issues and self-esteem concerns.

River Trails School District 26 has adopted a model of Positive Behavior Supports (PBS) throughout the district.  We have taken a systemic approach to school and district-wide discipline and provision of social-emotional support and intervention to our students in order to increase academic performance, improve safety, decrease problem behavior, and establish a positive school culture.

Some students experience difficulties at home or at school that negatively impact their ability to learn in school. In all cases, we attempt to provide classroom-based supports or parent resources to help our students be successful. In some cases, students may need the additional support of a School Social Worker or School Psychologist who can work with the student either individually or in a small group format.

During group or individual sessions, students will have the opportunity to learn new skills and behaviors through discussion of ideas, feelings, behaviors, attitudes, and opinions. These supports may be for a short time period (1-3 sessions) or ongoing as the need arises or continues. Parent communication will also be a part of this process.

If  your child has been recommended to receive additional Social Emotional Learning Support services during the school day or you would like to consult about if your child would qualify for SEL support, please feel free to contact me  or 224-612-7541 or you may contact Ms. Dolan, our School Psychologist at or 224-612-7520.
